    Engineering Project & Event Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assist and/or collaborates with the engineering management team and external stakeholders to prepare project & event planning, budgeting and identification of resources required.
    • Identify project & events issues, formulate plans to resolve issues, and effectively communicate results to team
    • Prepare and maintain reporting and communications about project & events status and changes with internal project teams
    • Provides accurate and relevant data on project & events progress
    • Establishes a project charter for each approved project & event and delivers mechanisms for tracking and reporting to stakeholders via a formal communications plan.
    • Conducts project & event reviews and debriefs in order to identify areas for improvement; makes recommendations based on findings.
    • Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, engineers, subcontractors, security, etc.
    • Authorizes/approves all project & event purchase requisitions, change requests, etc. as permitted.
    • Maintain and improve performance to maximize efficiency of operation in line with KPIs
    • Involvement in disciplinary issues in conjunction with the Director of Engineering, involvement in recruitment and training of subordinate associates.
    • Maintain and promote good employee relations on site, ensuring potential problems are dealt with at an early stage.
    • Develop & implement the required S0Ps which support and improve the effectiveness of the assets and their primary activities by ensuring preventative, corrective, predictive, cosmetic emergency maintenances are carried out as per the agreed plan.
    • To develop a culture of team working across all departments and between shifts.
    • To develop clear and concise communication channels across all operational departments and all other business functions.
    • Be available for any emergencies and act in and engineering capacity to protect our guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. To act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status. To inform Engineering Management of any such emergencies.
    • To strive to work in an accident free manner and to create a safe work environment for others. To continuously look for conditions which may endanger associates or guest of the hotel and to take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found.
    • To clean all engineering areas as directed by Engineering Management. To work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized. To serve as otherwise directed or needed to help maintain the effective and efficient operation of the hotel.
    • Determine trainings required for team members and conducting suitable training programmers to enhance their operational efficiency leading to increase productivity.
    • Determine departmental priorities and assigning appropriate responsibilities.
