Special guest and Michelin Star Chef, Stefan Karlsson joined the team at the newly re-vamped White Orchid Restaurant at Jebel Ali Golf Resort, where he prepared an appetizing 5-course meal to guests, combining his Swedish heritage with the existing Asian-fusion concept. This is Stefan’s second visit to the resort and he delighted guests this time last year onboard DiVAZ, the resort’s unique floating restaurant. Chef Stefan has now returned to Sweden to continue running Restaurant Fond in Gothenburg, where he works with fresh and local produce to prepare dishes steeped in Swedish tradition yet with a modern and simple flare. A beautiful concept which he brought with him to Dubai and which delighted his guests. Stefan is proud of many worthwhile achievements including a Michelin star, country representation as well as cooking for royal events and Noble Peace Prize Dinners. Fredrik Reinisch, General Manager of Jebel Ali Golf Resort said “It was a true honour to welcome Chef Stefan to our renowned White Orchid Restaurant and we look forward to having him back in the near future. Due to the popularity of the event we hope to welcome other known chefs from around the world in order to offer our guests the chance to experience trends and flavors otherwise not found in Dubai. This was truly a fantastic experience to bring to Dubai and of great interest to the gastronomic residents of the city”. White Orchid has recently undergone a major extension and refurbishment, opening its doors again earlier this month. The new décor, menu and concepts incorporate different Asian influences and traditions. As one of the signature restaurants at the resort, White Orchid is popular with hotel guests and local residents alike.
