Palm Tree Court & Spa - Development Update

We are delighted to announce that as a result of the addition of four new villas in the Palm Tree Court & Spa, we have decided to further enhance our facilities for our guests staying in the Palm Tree Court & Spa in the future. These new enhancements will continue throughout the summer season.
White Orchid Restaurant Extension
Start date: 09th of June 2012
End date: 30th of September 2012
Project details:
Due to the ever-increasing popularity of the White Orchid restaurant, an extension has been planned to make it more accessible to all our guests. The perimeters of the current White Orchid terrace will therefore be widened to ensure more space and availability. The newly enhanced restaurant will spread over two levels and have not one, but two specialist Teppanyaki stations and a Sushi counter, a sought-after dinner package amongst guests. The improved White Orchid restaurant will be open for breakfast offering a wide variety of morning specials, as well as several live cooking stations that are sure to delight guests.
Work details:
The area is completely screened off and work will be taking place only during daylight hours.
Initially only necessary preparation such as scaffolding and materials transport on to the site are being done. Light machinery is being used during this phase, demolition of current external walls of the restaurant and structural works and roof cladding are also being carried out.
As of July, we are estimating only internal work will be taking place such as wall and ceiling plastering and restaurant kitchen refurbishment. As of late August we anticipate only finishes and landscaping to be done.
White Orchid Lounge Closure

Project details:
During the aforementioned works, White Orchid lounge will be closed for refurbishment and extension. Bar service will be offered to guests at the Jebel Ali Hotel.
La Fontana Restaurant Closure
Start date: 09th of June 2012

During the aforementioned works, La Fontana will be closed for refurbishment and extension.
Palm Tree Court & Spa Lobby and Entrance Refurbishment

Project details:
In line with enhancing the White Orchid restaurant, the adjacent lobby and entrance area of Palm Tree Court & Spa is also be given attention during this period in order to ensure that as of October, we have completed all necessary upgrades to Palm Tree Court & Spa going into the winter season. During the aforementioned period the entrance and reception building has been closed for necessary upgrades and all guests are being taken to Jebel Ali Hotel for check in formalities.
During the month of August we are planning to do entrance road and roundabout paving and additional landscaping which will last for approximately three weeks
Anchor Beach Bar and Restaurant Extension Plus Addition of One More Palm Tree Court & Spa Swimming Pool

Project details:
We are delighted to announce that one more swimming pool will be added to the existing three pools and pool areas. The new free-form swimming pool will be situated close to beach, adjacent to the popular Anchor beach bar and restaurant which will also benefit from being extended and improved.
Work details:
The work on the new pool has been started with necessary excavation work being carried out, for approximately two weeks different types of transport and machinery is being used. Works currently being carried out will include both manual and automated structural works, building of the retaining walls, water features, plumbing works and underground piping, construction of pool base and pool bar.
As of mid August, we are expecting finishing work to begin which will include tiling, equipment installation, tent structures installation, paving and landscaping.
While we do appreciate all planed works will have audio and visual impact, we will take every precaution to reduce it. I am sure you will agree with us that the planed works are excellent and needed additions to the Palm Tree Court & Spa which will even further re-enforce its position as a world’s leading family resort.
