Set within the idyllic grounds the of JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort, the championship standard 9-hole par 36 resort course is both scenically stunning and an exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
The world-class course has established itself as one of the premier golfing destinations in the region since it opened in 1998 and has played host to some of the world’s golfing legends including Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Greg Norman and many others.
Designed by renowned Swiss golf course architect Peter Harradine. Each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs and original desert flora. The course also features a saltwater lake which comes into play on five holes.
Views of the sea and peacocks which freely roam the fairways, adds a special charm to this course that offers a fair and exciting challenge for all. The option of four different tees also provides variation and playability to each hole and the opportunity to play an 18-hold round.
Complementing the golf course is our large floodlit driving range with putting and chipping greens that provide comprehensive practice facilities. At the resort’s Academy of Golf, our experienced and fully qualified PGA Professionals offer instructions on all areas of the game and to any level of player, from beginners to advanced golfers.
Standard of Play
To ensure the enjoyment of all players on the course, the resort only allows individuals with official handicaps to play and they must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the game, rules and etiquette.
Beginners are not permitted to play on the course but are most welcome to use the practice facilities or take lessons at the Golf Academy.
Speed of Play
It is paramount that players keep up the pace of their game to ensure enjoyment for the other course users. To facilitate the flow of play during busy periods, players will be requested to break up into four-ball tee time groups.
Full quality sets of men’s, ladies and junior clubs, as well as electric carts and pull trolleys are available for hire, and players may choose whether to ride or walk the course. Bag storage is available – clubs are cleaned and safely stored overnight, on request
Appropriate golf attire is required for all players at all times, and spike-less or soft spike shoes must be worn.
High quality merchandise from some of the leading suppliers of golf, leisure and sportswear are available together with branded gifts and mementos at the resort course Pro-Shop located inside Club Jumana.
From October to April the resort course is open from 7am until nightfall, and from May to September, from 6.30am until nightfall. Players are requested to book in advance and at the time of booking, to provide information on handicap, whether playing 9 or 18 holes, preferred tee-times and contact information.
