Girders is the newest venue on ‘The Walk’ featuring a traditionally British menu with a nod toward Gaelic delicacies, including a full Scottish breakfast. Featuring indoor seating and an outdoor terrace, Girders décor is inspired by the industrial era and steel furnishings are a common feature, whilst a fire place takes pride of place in this hot new outlet.
Easy external access is via its own staircase and Girders features a 103-inch screen as well as five 42-inch televisions, showcasing all international sporting events, making this the perfect destination for sports fans.
Located within the hotly anticipated JA Ocean View Hotel, Girders is a jaunt back to Britain where quiz nights bring back memories and our screens show sports history in the making. Each night features a different event and whilst Sundays belong to the quiz teams, there’s also a ladies night, a lads night and daily happy hour between 4pm and 8pm. A vast selection of traditional Scottish malts and blends are also available.
William Harley-Fleming, General Manager of JA Ocean View Hotel said “I’m delighted we’re bringing a sports bar to Dubai Marina, which will not only feature traditional Gaelic delicacies, but show all the latest sporting action. We’ve got dishes on our menu that I’m proud to say you won’t find anywhere else in Dubai. Our team also use the expressions ‘a wee bite’ and ‘memories of blighty’ so they fit in well”.
Girders is just one of the six dining outlets in JA Ocean View Hotel, which officially opens on the 22nd December 2012. Complementing the first floor venue is Le Rivage, an all-day dining restaurant, Caffè Via, a street side café serving pizza by the slice, The Deck, a casual eatery by the pool, Fogo Vivo, a Brazilian grill house and The Whistler, a lofty modern venue serving red and wipe grape and an assortment of cheeses, which looks out over Arabian Gulf and Palm Jumeirah.
