Dubai, UAE – 4 April 2013
The 3rd of April marked a huge milestone for hospitality company JA Resorts & Hotels as they celebrated a number of accomplishments including a company rebrand and a successful extension project, while last night’s party took place at the newest addition to the portfolio, JA Ocean View Hotel.
JA Resorts & Hotels rebranded from Jebel Ali International Hotels in 2012 and has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality market managing resorts and hotels. Last night friends, colleagues, partners and suppliers gathered together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of one of the UAE’s longest-standing hotel brands.
The Gipseys, the second generation of the infamous Gipsey Kings were also on hand to entertain the crowd with favourites like ‘Bamboleo’, with support performances from the hotel’s in-house band.
David Thomson, Chief Operating Officer of JA Resorts & Hotels pioneered the developments of the brand, with the support of parent company, Dutco Group and his in-house teams. Speaking at the party, David said “We’ve come a long way in a short space of time and it would be impossible to thank everyone who contributed to our success”. He continued with some personal anecdotes and closed by firmly stating “Our future is what we make of it. And we, as a company, will make it great” before showing an internal video that explained the brand vision and mission through the words of the company’s associates.
JA Resorts & Hotels will also open their first international property later this year as the final preparations are being made for Enchanted Island Resort in the Seychelles. The secluded island hideaway features just ten Creole-style villas with private plunge pools, beach access, four-poster beds and outdoor rain showers. Surrounded by the Indian Ocean’s blue waters and vibrant marine life, guests can enjoy the island’s restaurant, bar, spa and idyllic setting.
JA Resorts & Hotels employ over 1,500 people across an inspiring portfolio and are proud of the rich diversity of cultures and nationalities that exist across its properties. Championing a company ethos that reads ‘to be the change we want to see in the world’, the group aims to make a positive difference to the environment through its socially responsible efforts and activities.
