The hospitality group has seen a number of its Emirati talent rise through the ranks and take on leadership positions within the organisation. The golfer has a close association with both Dubai and JA Resorts & Hotels. He signed his agreement with JA stating, “The biggest win of my career was at the 2012 Dubai Desert Classic and I was runner up at the event this year. I have an extremely fond attachment to both the city and JA Resorts & Hotels as the tournament’s official co-sponsor. I’m honoured to be part of the JA family and excited to build my collaboration with the brand.”

Rafiah Haj joined JA Resorts & Hotels with a background in HR and involvement in the Emirates National Development Program of the Executive Office. She and her team were instrumental in the hiring of 3,000 UAE nationals into the private sector in 2007. She has continued her valuable work in her role as the Emiratisation Manger at JA Resorts & Hotels. Rafia sees Her Excellency Ohood Al Roomy, UAE’s minister of Happiness, as a huge influence and is inspired by Her Excellency’s quote stating: “Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.”
SARA AHMED – CORPORATE RECRUITMENT EXECUTIVE AT JA RESORTS & HOTELS
Sara Ahmed joined JA Resorts & Hotels as a Management Trainee in the Front Office at Oasis Beach Hotel in August 2006. She has since risen to the role of Corporate Recruitment Executive of the hospitality group after gaining experience as the Personal Assistant to the Group Emiratisation Director. “I enjoy the dynamism that is a part of my current role. I have continued to learn and develop through my journey at JA Resorts & Hotels and find the process of recruitment in the digital age extremely interesting. The happiness I see on the faces of selected candidates also adds immense gratification to my job”, says Sara.
