 Seventy enthusiastic Hatta Fort Hotel staff joined forces with over 100 UAE students and teachers from the Hatta Government School to take part in the a Cleanliness Awareness Walk.
Lead by Hatta Fort Hotel General Manager, Mr Sergio Magnaldi, the walk started at the Hatta Fort Hotel gates where the group of volunteers were flagged off by the General Managers of Dubai and Oman Municipality. The group walked and reached the Wadi Khamis (the famous Hatta Pools) and Wadi Ghapia where they embarked on 4 hours of cleaning up, clearing away piles of non biodegradable rubbish. The volunteers were amazed by the amount of garbage left behind by irresponsible visitors to the heritage sites. After hours of cleaning up Refreshments and goody bags were given to each participant with compliments of our hotel and ABAMI and an astonishing heap of about 190 rubbish bags were transported away from the sites.
