Rules & Regulations

      Team Registration
  • All league fee’s to be paid no later than October 13th 2012.
  • Every registered player to provide a passport copy no later than Saturday 6th October. Any player that hasn’t produced a passport copy cannot take part in the league.
  • All passport copies will be present on match days should the opposition require to check the age of any player (COE to keep the copies on file).
  • Registering a new player must be done at least 72 hours prior to the game via email.
  •  Permission to postpone a game will only be granted if 5 players or more cannot attend due to a school trip (written proof required). Players attending other tournaments, ill or on holiday is not a valid reason.
  • If any team cannot fulfill a fixture, the game will be awarded to the opposition with a 3-0 victory unless the postponed game in question has deciding factor on a team winning the league.
  • League organizers to decide when a re arranged game takes place.
  • Teams can register as many players as they wish however they must not exceed: 10 players in the under 8’s, 12 players in the under 10’s & 12’s and 16 players in the under 14’s & 15’s in a match day squad.
  • The roll on roll off substitution rule will apply to all age groups.
  • All teams will be marked on their conduct before, during and after the games. The referee will award a: green, orange or red depending on the behaviour of the players, coaches and parents/spectators. If a team is awarded a red then they will be warned on their future conduct & the Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence reserves the right to ban any individual from the premises if necessary. For every red after the initial warning, 3 points will be deducted from their points tally and further action to be taken if necessary.
  • Normal football rules to apply to all small sided games with the exception of offside.
  • Size 3 footballs will be used for all Under 8’s games, size 4 footballs for Under 10’s & 12’s and size 5 for Under 14’s & 15’s. Match balls to be provided by the league.
  • For all 11 v 11 games, teams are to provide 1 linesman to assist the referee with throw ins and offsides. The referee to have to the final say.
  • Should any player be found to have committed  a ‘red card offence’ by the referee’s discretion in all small sided games then that player will be asked to leave the field and they won’t be able to take any further part in the game. That player will however be able to be replaced ensuring that the full amount of players remain on the field of play.
  • Red and Yellow cards will stand as normal in all 11 v 11 games.

Under 8’s (7 or under as of 31st of August 2012)

  • 6 a side
  • Roll on roll off subs
  • Opposing team cannot be inside the half of the team who are taking their goal kicks (place kicks-off the floor)
  • 3 x 10 minutes
  • Team fees will be AED 350 per match payable as full amount when the amount of fixtures is known
  • No offside
  • Maximum 10 players in match day squad

Under 10’s  (9 or under as of 31st of August 2012)

  • 8 side
  • Roll on roll off subs
  • 3 x 12 minutes
  • Team fees will be AED 420 per match payable as full amount when the amount of fixtures is known
  • No offside
  • Maximum 12 players in match day squad

Under 12’s (11 or under as of 31st of August 2012)

  • 8 side
  • Roll on roll off subs
  • 3 x 15 minutes
  • Team fees will be AED 420 per match payable as full amount when the amount of fixtures is known
  • No offside
  • Maximum 12 players in match day squad

Under 14’s (13 or under as of 31st of August 2012)

  • 11 aside
  • Roll on roll off subs
  • 2 x 30 minutes
  • Team fees will be AED 560 per match payable as full amount when the amount of fixtures is known
  • Maximum 16 players in match day squad

Under 15’s

  • 11 aside
  • 5 subs max per team, 5 interchanges max per match. (a player may return to the field after being subbed off)
  • 2 x 30 minutes
  • Linesman must be supplied by each team for every game
  • Team fees will be AED 560 per match payable as full amount when the amount of fixtures is known
  • Maximum 16 players in match day squad.
